About Me

I'm just another guy Interested in programming languages, actually I started seriously this year planning to gain enough knowledge after I accidentally got to this URL www.catb.org/~esr while searching something about Linux. This Hacker Eric S. Raymond has lot of exprience and as he recommend Python as a good language to start programming therfore I'll be working with python. I've also started a WEB server at home as a way to make and host my personal web page and help anyone interested in running a WEB server as the one I have. Apache is the one running in my old P3 computer and not because I think it is the best thing in the world (maybe it is), but because it's popularity and maturity; further more because as it has long time around if you find your self in troubles configuring or doing anything else you'll get good help from forums.

I have no previous programming experience just a few lessons in C while I was at the university. At the time of writing this document (nov 1,2008) I've learned few about xhtml and as soon as I master it the www.nixheiser.org site will be online for you to get help in how to follow my simple steps to create and host your own site.

I expect this document to be real step by step guide because there is lot of sites out there trying to teach how to run a WEB server but they don't explain how to Get your own dot-com (or dot-net or dot-org or any other dot domain) web address, how to Find a site to host your web site (or host your self at home); all this things will be covered deeply in this guide.

Finally I have the www.nixheiser.org site up, I'm playing around with some CMS because this is a best way to keep the site up to date and easier to manage, today is december 16 2009, a year after I created www.nixheiser.info. I'm not an expert right now so will take some time while I upload my first guide, "How to run your own web server", I'll try to post two versions, one using linux and a second one using FreeBSD as this last is a great OS and I want more people to be familiarized with it.
